The philosophy behind my approach to interior design is quite simple. I believe the creation of a beautiful and welcoming space both inspires imagination and improves the quality of life. For me, design is not about style or trend, but instead it's about creating a unique feeling of home. It's about listening to an individual, learning their story and discovering how they want to live. Then translating that into the perfect environment that reflects the client's taste and lifestyle.

I founded my company in 2000, after 10 years of working for some of Los Angeles' most prominent design firms. This allowed me to align my professional aspirations with my own personal values. It also created the opportunity for me to limit the number of projects I work on at any given time, which is typically just one, allowing me to give each project my full attention and focus.

I strive to be a versatile and hands-on designer and typically I am intimately involved in every step of the project. Beginning with the initial space planning, the material specifications, selection of furnishings and through to the finishing touches. I work closely with clients, architects, lighting designers, and general contractors, and believe that collaboration and communication are the keys to a truly successful project.

My passion for travel and an obsession with photography enables me to keep designs current, yet at the same time infused with history. But honestly, my main goal is to create spaces that are timeless ~ something that in 10 years from now still look fresh and classic.

Interior Design has always been for me a cross between fine art and applied art. It is essentially a walk-in still life. For example, the technique in which a painter places objects on a table to paint, I also carefully select and arrange each and every item in a room. The spaces in between and the items that get edited out, become just as important as those that are chosen.

Good press is always appreciated, but word of mouth is how I have gotten most of my work. I'm proud to say that many of my clients have been repeat customers, returning after purchasing an additional property. With each project, it is my greatest desire to create a beautiful and functional space that truly pleases my client, and along the way, enjoy the process and make a new friend.
